Leadership

Register.com
For the last couple months at Register.com, I have begun taking on managerial duties. In addition to my regular job as a website designer for regular business, I’ve been managing workflow for both myself and the rest of the design team: predicting and tracking incoming work, adjusting deadlines accordingly, delegating tasks to ensure maximum productivity, handling and tracking escalations, making sure SLA’s are being met. I’ve also had a hand in training new hires as well as coaching and quality assurance.

McDonalds
In October 2003, I was promoted to Crew-Trainer of McDonald’s Barrington Passage, and in December to part of the Management team.  As crew-trainer, I was expected to know all rules, regulations, and proper procedures while working, and teach the new employees. As swing management, I was expected to assign people positions to the best of their abilities, maintain floor control, deal with potential problems immediately, and generally make sure the restaurant ran smoothly.

Capscone Project
In our 2004 Capscone Project for IT-Web, I was chosen as a team leader to be charge of peers working on different web pages. My duties included managing the project, assigning other students tasks, presenting our work to the client and to our instructors, other staff, clients, parents and peers at the end of the project.

Art Skills

I’ve attended art classes off and on from 1994 – 2000. In these years I learned a variety of skills, including the use of pastels, oil & water paints, charcoal & ink drawing, and a wide variety of different arts & crafts.

Interpersonal

I have a positive attitude, am a good team player, and have gotten along with all of my employers and co-workers. I am very easy-going, and good at thinking outside the box. I love kids and animals.

I’ve had an array of retail jobs, gaining experience dealing with customers and conflict resolution. I have good written and verbal communication skills in English, and I can understand French.

Transferable

I’ve acquired many skills on the job, including:

• Money and Point-of-Sales Management
• Organization and Project Management
• Brainstorming, Troubleshooting, and Problem Solving
