“Stargazer Lily” Look

Here is how my Stargazer concept turned out.  The colors are a little more dull since I did it in the morning and the photos were taken in the evening, but it turned out almost exactly the same as my concept art.

Concept: Stargazer Lily

A make-up idea I had while looking at my favorite flower.

I envision two shades of pink: light for the above the crease and a deeper pink-red for the outer crease, along with a sparkling of small dots inspired from the flower.  White for the lid, and two eyeliners.  A lime green that symbolizes the stem, and a black liquid liner.  I have nothing for the lower lashlines, however, I could see the green being moved to this area along with a black waterline.

I might try this one out tomorrow to go with my lily-pattern shirt.  Will post pics if it comes out as good as I hope!   I may look at getting a larger picture to use as concept art.

Christmas Wreaths

As promised, here are some photos of the Christmas Wreaths I made for my grandmoms this holiday season.  I bought the silk wreaths plain at Walmart for 8 or 9 dollars, then decorated them with bows, poinsettias, berries, gold and red feathery-type ferns, and Christmas bulbs.

New Website!

Ladies and gents, boys and girls…  for the first time since  2005, nessagoodwin.com has been updated!  I’ve mostly moved over some old content from my ex-portfolio site, and from my temporary blog as well.

I’m using this site to show off my creative design projects, old and new.  Not just your vanilla website and graphics work, I’m including interior design, landscaping, art (including make-up), crafty creations, and more.

Stay tuned!

My Little Hobo

This one was a project for a friend from work – we drew names for Christmas.  I bought a doll from the store, and sewed clothes for it, gave him a beard, made him a fire barrel out of a tomato sauce can and a faux candle.  Jeff drew his packaging.

Now in 3D!

So after years of dreaming about the world of 3D Animation, I finally sat down and made myself try out Maya.  And I thought Photoshop was scary at first!  But with some help I finally got a couple smally sill projects started.  Behold!  The long-awaited Cotton-Candy Ice Cream Snowman.  And a rendering of Frankie’s face.  Nothing special yet, but its a start.

MAC’s “Bling Black” Look

M.A.C.’s “Bling Black” Look
Formerly from http://www.maccosmetics.com/

I swear they’re not fake!

After seeing so many extreme looks on the internet, I decided to take a chance and try out some fake eyelashes.  The ones I snagged from the store were actually Halloween lashes (you can check them out at http://frightnightcosmetics.com/).

Cha-cha-cha-chiaaaa

Just done as a joke image, that started with someone covered in hair from mowing the lawn.

Bedroom Renovations

I guess this project got us a little involved in interior design.  We went with a Tuscan style theme, we used laminate flooring, but brown stone instead of common wood.  We used a textured paint on the walls to make it look like stone walls.  We still need to get some molding for around the floors/ceiling, and hopefully some plants to give the room more of an organic feel.
